It’s been a wild ride these last two years. Since September 2015 I’ve written 13 novels – 12 Harry Starke mysteries and 1 Kate Gazzara police procedural. Hoodwinked, Harry 12, was released on November 5th then… Kaplooey, nothing. Well, I made a start on Kate 2, but that was like a donkey’s gallop, soon over. I lost my incentive. I had, and still have, no desire to work. No, it’s not writer’s block. I have plenty of ideas, just a lack of motivation. I need to break out. As Zig Ziglar would say, I need a check up from the the neck up. Or, as Dr. Laura would say, I need a new attitude. It’s not lack of success that’s the problem: my books are selling well. Maybe it’s the weather, I don’t know. Anyway, that being said, today’s the day I get back in the saddle and back to work. I’ll get Kate 2, Saffron, finished by the end of February and Harry 13 by the end of March. In the meantime, a big thank you to all my friends and family, and to the thousands of Harry’s fans, for support… and patience.
